This 3 hour workshop introduces the theory of trauma formation and presentation, harm reduction, minority stress, and potential barriers to clients accessing therapy. It focuses on practical skills and techniques for the therapist working with traumatised clients in a time-limited setting. This workshop has been designed for therapy trainees on placement in the third sector, but is suitable for any practitioner looking to expand their knowledge and confidence to work with traumatised clients safely and effectively.

This 1.5 hour workshop serves as a brief introduction to some of the ways GSRD can affect a client's ability to access safe, effective, and affirming therapy, and how practitioners can reflect on their practice to identify and eliminate barriers in their work and approach to working with GSRD. This workshop has been designed for trainee and qualified practitioners who are willing to sit with challenge and reflect on their own internalised bias, who are looking to expand their knowledge and confidence in creating a safer and more effective practice when working with GSRD.
Time: 90 minutes (including a facilitated space for respectful and good-faith questions)

This 2 hour workshop offers some ideas as to how a neuroaffirming practice benefits all clients, and how unexamined neurotypical structures can create barriers for neurodivergent clients accessing therapy, and how in some cases, can be actively harmful. This workshop includes reflective spaces, skill suggestions for neurotypical therapists, and reflective considerations for neurodivergent therapists.
